Chhattisgarh Launches Portal to Verify Private University Degrees
Chhattisgarh has created a website to check whether private-university degrees are genuine.
The website contains information about all 21 private universities in the State.
Students and parents can use it before choosing a university or course.
Employers can use it to check applicants’ qualifications.
The system follows a student’s record from admission until a degree is issued.
This may help officials find records that do not match real admissions or studies.
The website also lists course approvals, fees and university officials.
Authorities may review courses that have poor performance, few students or repeated complaints.
The Chhattisgarh government launched an online portal to verify degrees and academic records from private universities.
Records from all 21 private universities operating in the State will be available through the system.
The portal digitally links student records from admission through degree issuance to help identify irregularities.
Students, parents, employers and institutions can check qualifications, courses, fees and approval status online.
Private-university programmes with low enrolment, weak performance or repeated complaints may face regulatory review.
