MANS Urges Eco-Friendly Ganesh Festival, Ban Dolby And Lasers
MANS is asking people to celebrate the Ganesh festival in a way that is safer for nature and communities.
It says loud Dolby music can hurt people, animals and birds.
The organisation also wants people to avoid using laser beams.
MANS believes loud music is not necessary for religious faith.
It says devotion is different from noisy celebrations.
The group has promoted similar ideas for other festivals.
These include quieter Diwali and New Year celebrations and collecting waste after Ganesh idol immersions.
MANS is now running campaigns to spread this message.
MANS urged people of all religions to organise festivals and social functions in environmentally responsible ways.
The organisation asked people to avoid Dolby sound systems and laser beams during the upcoming Ganesh festival.
MANS said high-decibel Dolby systems can harm humans, animals and birds.
The group said loud Dolby systems had resurfaced after previously being driven out of the state.
MANS is conducting awareness campaigns and has promoted eco-friendly initiatives for several religious and social celebrations.
