Operation Safed Sagar Follows IAF Pilots’ Push for Authenticity

Operation Safed Sagar Follows IAF Pilots’ Push for Authenticity

Operation Safed Sagar is a Netflix series about Indian Air Force pilots during the 1999 Kargil War.

The makers spoke with pilots who had taken part in the conflict.

The pilots asked them to show real life instead of making them look like superheroes.

They disliked scenes where pilots slowly walk away from planes in a dramatic way.

They explained that flying missions could leave them sweaty and tired.

The creators researched the story for about 100 hours and visited very high places.

The show introduces its characters before the war begins in the third episode.

It was made as six episodes instead of a film because the story was so large.

The series also tries to meet the standard set by the film Vijeta.
