Visva-Bharati Adjusts Exam Schedule for RSS-Linked Test
Visva-Bharati University in Kolkata has changed some of its exam dates to make room for a big test called Bharat Boudh IKS.
This test is organized by a group called Vidya Bharati, which is part of the RSS.
The university says they are not canceling any exams but just moving some dates around.
Some teachers and students are wondering why the university is making changes for an exam that is not their own.
The university says they are just one of many places where this test is happening and it doesn't affect their own schedule.
Visva-Bharati University adjusted its semester exam schedule to accommodate the Bharat Boudh IKS exam on January 31, 2026.
The Bharat Boudh IKS exam is conducted by Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan, a wing of the RSS.
The university issued a notification on December 11, 2023, asking departments to reschedule exams from January 29 to February 2, 2026.
The university spokesperson clarified that no exams are being canceled, only rescheduled.
