Telangana Panchayat Fund Misuse Probe Demanded
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, a Union minister, said that money from the Central Finance Commission might have been used wrongly in Telangana villages.
He asked both the central and state governments to investigate.
The state’s Panchayati Raj minister wrote a letter, but the next day a commissioner said there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
Bandi also gave evidence and asked for a fair probe.
The issue is about making sure village money is spent correctly.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded a probe into alleged misuse of Central Finance Commission funds in Telangana villages.
He cited concerns over financial irregularities and pressure on Sarpanches to spend funds against guidelines.
Rajiv Ranjan Singh wrote a letter to the state minister following Bandi’s representation.
Divya Devarajan, the Panchayati Raj and Rural Employment Commissioner, denied any factual basis for the allegations.
Bandi submitted evidence and urged both ministries to intervene immediately.
