Bharat Coking Coal shares crash 7% after weak Q1FY27 results

Bharat Coking Coal Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India, saw its share price drop by nearly 7% on the National Stock Exchange after it reported a net loss of ₹68.09 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027.

This is a significant decline compared to the same period last year when the company had a net profit of ₹176.87 crore.

The company's revenue also decreased by 3.55% year-on-year.

However, there were some positive aspects such as a 12% increase in sales realization per tonne and a 24.3% increase in output from underground mines.
