WFP to Slash Food Aid in Somalia Due to Funding Gap
The World Food Programme, a part of the United Nations, is going to give much less food to people in Somalia.
They usually help over a million people by giving them food, but because they don't have enough money, they can only help a lot fewer people.
They'll only be able to help about one out of every ten people who need food.
This means many people who need help to survive will not get it.
The WFP is cutting back on the amount of food aid they provide because they don't have enough money.
The World Food Programme (WFP) will reduce food aid in Somalia.
The reduction is due to a funding shortfall.
The WFP currently supports 1.1 million people with food aid.
The number of people supported will drop to 350,000 next month.
Only one in ten people in need will receive assistance.
