Indian Air Force Sends Relief Supplies to Flood-Hit Nepal

Indian Air Force Sends Relief Supplies to Flood-Hit Nepal

Nepal has been hit by serious flash floods.

India sent planes carrying medicines, food and other relief supplies to help people there.

The supplies left from Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad.

The Indian Air Force used a C-130 plane as an early responder.

Another shipment carried about 35 to 40 tonnes of supplies.

The pilots planned carefully because Nepal had low clouds and busy air traffic.

The plane carried extra fuel in case it had to wait before landing.

Indian Air Force officers said they were prepared to help with disasters like this.
