Sebi Hosts Municipal Bond Outreach Programme in Thiruvananthapuram
Imagine cities need money for things like fixing roads or building parks.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) held a special meeting to help cities and other groups learn about a way to get this money called municipal bonds.
They talked about how these bonds work, how to follow the rules, and how to get them rated.
They also shared examples of how it's been done before.
A big part of the meeting was about green bonds, which are for projects that help the environment.
The goal is to help cities get better at using these bonds to pay for important projects.
