Delhi Fire NOC Rejected for RML Hospital Trauma Building
The Delhi Fire Service has refused to give a fire safety certificate to a building in RML Hospital.
They found many problems during an inspection, like fire safety systems not working, missing fire doors, and not enough space for fire trucks.
The hospital also didn't have enough water storage for firefighting.
The fire department said the building is not safe to use until these problems are fixed.
The hospital might be responsible if anything bad happens because of these safety issues.
Delhi Fire Service rejected the fire safety certificate for RML Hospital's trauma building due to 14 major safety lapses.
Inspection revealed non-functional fire safety systems, missing fire check doors, and inadequate access for fire tenders.
The hospital lacks a six-metre-wide motorable road with a nine-metre turning radius required for fire tender movement.
Smoke detectors were installed but found non-functional, and the automatic sprinkler system was either not working or missing.
The storage capacity for firefighting was found to be 30,000 litres, against the required 50,000 litres.
