Centre to Allocate Coal Blocks to Singareni
The Indian government is planning to give special coal blocks to a company called Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
These blocks are Tadicherla-2, PKOC Dip Side Extension, and Naini.
Together, they have a lot of coal, about 830 million tonnes.
This can create around 6,500 jobs and make a lot of money, about Rs 1.95 lakh crore.
The government says this will also help the state by adding Rs 40,000 crore to its money.
The minister also mentioned that past governments did not take care of SCCL, leaving it with big debts of Rs 54,000 crore.
Now, the government wants to make sure the coal blocks are given fairly and transparently.
