Constable dies by suicide over betting app debt

A police constable named Swami, who was working at the Telangana DGP office, sadly took his own life by shooting himself with his service gun.

This happened early in the morning while he was on night duty.

The police think he was very stressed because he owed a lot of money from betting apps.

They found a note where he asked not to blame his family, saying they were good people.

Swami was from Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district and had just been posted to the DGP office earlier this month.

The police are still looking into what happened.
