India Wins Davis Cup Doubles, Keeps Comeback Hopes Alive

India Wins Davis Cup Doubles, Keeps Comeback Hopes Alive

India was losing its Davis Cup tie against Korea by two matches to zero.

That meant India needed to win the doubles match to stay in the competition.

Dhakshineswar Suresh and N Sriram Balaji formed a new team for the match.

They won the first set, but Korea fought back and took the second.

India then played strongly in the deciding third set.

The Indian pair broke Ji-sung Nam’s serve late in the set.

They held on to win the match in three sets.

India still needs more wins, including one from Sumit Nagal, to complete the comeback.
