Shardul Thakur to Captain Mumbai in Ranji Trophy

Shardul Thakur is the new captain of the Mumbai cricket team!

He's taking over from Ajinkya Rahane for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season.

Rahane previously led Mumbai to victory, and will continue to play on the team.

The team, which won the title in the 2023-24 season, will start its campaign on October 15 against Jammu and Kashmir.

Thakur has experience captaining the West Zone team, learning a lot from that experience.

Key players like Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan are on the team.

Players away on national duty will be included based on availability.
