Tata Motors Extends Battery-as-a-Service Across Entire EV Line-up
Tata Motors is offering a different way to pay for its electric cars.
Under Battery-as-a-Service, the car and its battery are paid for separately.
This makes the starting price of the car lower.
Customers then pay a separate battery instalment or usage charge.
The charge can depend on the battery size, down payment and loan length.
The programme now covers six Tata electric models, from the Tiago.ev to the Harrier.ev.
Vehicle prices under the plan range from ₹4.69 lakh to ₹14.49 lakh.
Battery usage charges range from ₹2.6 to ₹5.9 per kilometre.
Charging, repairs and maintenance are not included in the battery fee.
Tata Motors has extended its Battery-as-a-Service programme across all six electric vehicle models.
BaaS separates vehicle and battery financing through independent loan accounts with separate tenures.
Introductory vehicle prices range from ₹4.69 lakh for the Tiago.ev to ₹14.49 lakh for the Harrier.ev.
Battery usage charges range from ₹2.6 per kilometre for the Tiago.ev and Punch.ev to ₹5.9 for the Harrier.ev.
Battery fees exclude charging, maintenance and vehicle repair costs, while rates depend on usage and financing terms.
