Punjab Congress Seeks Public Input for 2027 Election Manifesto
The Punjab Congress is making a plan for the next state election.
The group responsible for writing the plan held its first meeting in Chandigarh.
Its chairman, Amar Singh, said people outside the party should help decide what goes into the plan.
Party members will travel around Punjab and speak with workers, organisations, experts and ordinary residents.
They want to learn about problems in different parts of the state.
The group says it will consider as many public suggestions as possible.
It wants the manifesto to offer solutions rather than only ordinary election promises.
One report connects the election to 2027, while another says it is due early next year.
The Punjab Congress manifesto committee held its first meeting in Chandigarh on August 21.
Chairman Amar Singh said the party would prepare a “people’s manifesto” through statewide consultations.
