Ongole Municipal Corporation Sets Waste Segregation World Record

Ongole held a large cleanup activity on Saturday.

Workers and residents separated wet and dry waste across the town.

They finished the activity in one hour.

The World Book of Records recognized it with a certificate and plaque.

The event was part of Ongole Municipality’s 150-year celebrations.

About 81,000 households had received bags for separating waste.

Officials said the drive increased awareness about sorting rubbish.

The campaign used the slogan “Mana Ongole, Mana Gauravam.”
