Afghanistan to host India in three-match T20I series in Delhi
Cricket is a popular sport played with a bat and a ball.
Two countries, Afghanistan and India, are going to play cricket against each other.
Afghanistan is doing something new this time: they will be the official hosts of the matches.
Even though Afghanistan is hosting, the games will be played in India.
There will be three short matches called T20Is.
The matches will happen from September 13 to September 17.
They will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Shreyas Iyer will be the captain of the Indian team.
The cricket boards of both countries are happy about this friendly competition.
Fans in India like Afghanistan's players, so the matches should be very exciting.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) will host India in a three-match T20I series in India, a historic first for the board.
All three matches will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi between September 13 and 17.
India will be led by Shreyas Iyer for the series, which comes shortly before the Asian Games campaign.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board is pleased to support ACB in hosting the series, citing the strong bond between the two cricketing nations.
The series follows Afghanistan's June tour of India, and comes after India hosted Afghanistan's historic first Test in 2018.
