Collector Urges Awareness on Drug Abuse, Women’s Protection, Road Safety
Officials in Ongole held a meeting about a programme called Trishool.
The programme teaches people about avoiding drugs, protecting women, and staying safe on roads.
The Collector asked officials to spread these messages in villages, schools, and colleges.
He also wanted mentors in the Yuva Sathi programme to discuss Trishool on No Bag Day.
Awareness boards about Nasha Mukt Bharat will be placed in villages.
The police said cases involving ganja use and crimes against women have decreased.
Many convex mirrors have been installed to help drivers see around bends and avoid crashes.
The meeting also discussed making cameras on national highways work through Wi-Fi when needed.
District Collector P Raja Babu reviewed the Trishool programme at the Collectorate in Ongole on Wednesday.
The programme focuses on preventing drug abuse, protecting women, and improving road safety.
Officials were directed to promote Trishool awareness in villages, schools, colleges, and through the Yuva Sathi programme.
Superintendent of Police V Harshavardhan Raju said ganja-use cases and crimes against women had declined in the district.
About 300 convex mirrors were installed, including 18 on Srisailam Ghat Road, to help prevent accidents.
