BMW Teases i3 Electric Sedan, Targeting 2026 Launch
BMW is making an electric version of its popular 3 Series car called the i3.
It will be released in 2026.
This new car will be built on a special platform and have a new look, but still keep the classic 3 Series design.
The i3 is planned to go over 800 kilometers on a single charge and charge quickly.
The car will be built in Hungary and sold around the world.
BMW is also keeping the regular, gas-powered 3 Series cars, too.
The electric i3 is part of BMW's plan to introduce many new car models in the coming years.
BMW revealed the i3 electric sedan, based on the Neue Klasse platform.
The i3 teaser was shown at the Munich Motor Show, alongside the iX3 SUV.
The i3 will maintain the 3 Series’ traditional long-hood, short-overhang design.
The electric sedan is expected to have a range exceeding 800 kilometers and rapid charging.
The i3 will be manufactured in Hungary and sold globally, with the combustion-powered 3 Series continuing.
