Delhi CM Condemns JNU Protest Slogans
Delhi's Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, was very upset about what happened at a university called JNU.
Some students there shouted things that were considered rude and against the country.
They also asked for bail for people who were involved in riots.
The police have started a legal case against the students for their actions.
The Chief Minister said the whole country was shocked by these events and that students should be role models for the nation.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta expressed shock and disapproval of the recent JNU protest where students raised 'provocative' slogans.
Students demanded bail for activists Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam, who are accused in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case.
The protest occurred on January 5 after the Supreme Court denied bail to the activists.
Delhi Police registered an FIR under sections 352, 353(1), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Gupta emphasized the importance of youth in leading the nation towards progress and condemned the 'undignified' slogans.
