Quad Envoys Meet in Beijing
The ambassadors from the United States, India, Australia, and Japan, which are part of a group called the Quad, had a special meeting in Beijing.
This meeting was unusual because it was made public.
The American ambassador said that the Quad is good for keeping the Indo-Pacific region free and open.
The Indian embassy did not say anything about the meeting.
China, which has been critical of the Quad in the past, did not react to this meeting.
China usually says that countries should not form groups that target other countries.
The Chinese government believes that group politics do not bring lasting peace and stability.
Ambassadors of the Quad nations (US, India, Australia, Japan) held a rare publicised meeting in Beijing.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the US Embassy in Beijing.
The Quad aims to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
The Indian Embassy in Beijing has not commented on the meeting.
China has been a critic of the Quad and opposes countries forming cliques and engaging in group politics.
