Apple Settles Siri Privacy Lawsuit with $95 Million Payout
Apple is paying money to people who used Siri on their iPhones and other devices.
Some people sued Apple because they thought Siri was listening to their private conversations without permission.
Apple says it did nothing wrong, but they agreed to pay up to $20 per device to settle the case.
If you had an Apple device with Siri between 2014 and the end of 2024, you might be able to get money.
You have until July 2, 2025, to file a claim.
The court will decide if the settlement is okay on August 1, 2025.
Apple reached a $95 million settlement in a class action lawsuit regarding Siri recording users' private conversations.
The lawsuit alleged that Siri-enabled devices recorded private conversations without user consent.
Users who owned or used Siri-enabled Apple products between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, may be eligible.
Eligible users can claim up to $20 per device, with a claim deadline of July 2, 2025.
