Mumbai: Worli Chawl Redevelopment Inaugurated by CM Fadnavis
The government is building new homes for people living in old apartment buildings in Mumbai.
The first phase of a big project to replace these old buildings with new ones has just been finished.
The new buildings have bigger apartments with two bedrooms and are free for the residents.
The area will also have shops, schools, and other things people need.
More new apartments will be ready by the end of the year.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the first phase of the Worli BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project.
The project is a large urban renewal initiative by MHADA, for rehabilitating chawl residents.
556 residents received keys to their new 2BHK flats during the inauguration.
The redevelopment includes 34 rehabilitation towers, a commercial complex, schools, and other facilities.
