Spain's Foreign Minister Seeks Justice for Student's Death in Mexico

Spain's Foreign Minister Seeks Justice for Student's Death in Mexico

Claudia Tacoronte was a 21-year-old student from Spain studying in Mexico.

She was taking part in an exchange program at the Autonomous University of Morelos State.

Her body was found near a cultural center in Cuautla.

Local reports said she had been stabbed.

Mexican prosecutors are treating the case as a possible femicide, which means a woman may have been killed because of her gender.

Spain's foreign minister said officials want to find out exactly what happened.

Mexican investigators are looking for the motive and the person responsible.

Claudia's university held a minute of silence and condemned her death.
