Ranchi Congress Workers Demand Election Chief’s Resignation

Hundreds of Congress party workers held a protest in Ranchi.

They want Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

Some protesters dressed in white to look like “ghost voters.”

They said people’s names had been removed from voter lists during a review called the Special Intensive Revision.

The group marched to the District Collectorate and burned an effigy of Kumar.

A Congress leader said the protests would continue.

He said the party was acting to protect democracy and the Constitution.
