HCG Aastha Cancer Centre Launches Advanced Nuclear Medicine Services

HCG Aastha Cancer Centre has started offering new nuclear medicine services in Ahmedabad.

These services include Gamma Camera scans, PET-CT scans and targeted radiation treatments.

A Gamma Camera helps doctors see how organs are working.

PET-CT helps show where a tumour is and how active it may be.

Doctors can use these scans to find, stage and monitor cancer.

The centre uses different radioactive tracers for different diseases and patients.

Targeted radionuclide therapy carries radiation directly to certain cancer cells.

Examples include radioiodine treatment, PRRT and PSMA therapy.

The centre says specialists will use these tools to create more personalised treatment plans.
