Sri Lanka seeks China's help for cyclone recovery
A big storm called Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka in November, causing lots of flooding and damage.
Many people lost their lives, and important bridges and train tracks were destroyed.
Now, Sri Lanka is asking China and India for help to fix these things.
The country's foreign minister met with the Chinese ambassador to ask for help rebuilding the damaged transport links.
India has already promised $450 million to help with repairs.
The storm has made it hard for people to move around and get the help they need, so fixing these bridges and train tracks is very important.
Sri Lanka has asked China for urgent assistance to rebuild bridges and railway tracks damaged by Cyclone Ditwah.
The cyclone caused severe flooding, landslides, and destruction, overwhelming local disaster-response efforts.
Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath met with Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong to discuss recovery and rebuilding efforts.
India has unveiled a $450 million relief and repair package to help Sri Lanka recover from the cyclone's impact.
The cyclone has claimed the lives of more than 638 people, with 175 still missing.
