Uttarakhand Congress Protests BJP Chief’s ‘Rahul Miyan’ Remark

Congress workers in Haldwani protested against BJP president Nitin Nabin.

They were upset because he called Rahul Gandhi “Rahul miyan.”

Nabin had made the comment at a rally while discussing “Vande Mataram.”

He said Rahul Gandhi did not understand the importance of the song and Indian culture.

Congress workers burned an effigy of Nabin and shouted slogans.

Nabin also criticized Congress for singing only two stanzas of the song at its events.

The Congress Working Committee says it follows a 1937 resolution for this decision.

The protest happened at Buddha Park on Thursday, Sep.
