SBI Warns Customers About ‘Jumped Deposit’ UPI Scam

SBI has warned people about a trick involving unexpected money in a bank account.

A stranger may say they sent the money by mistake and ask for it back quickly.

The stranger may use pressure or emotional appeals to make someone hurry.

The real danger is that they may get the person to approve a much larger UPI payment.

If approved, that money can go to the scammer.

SBI says to check unexpected deposits using official bank channels.

It also advises blocking suspicious numbers and reporting concerns to the bank.

Don’t approve an unfamiliar payment request just because someone is rushing you.
