Five Red Cross Volunteers Killed Distributing Food in Sudan
People who help others are in danger in Sudan.
Five volunteers working for the Red Cross and Red Crescent were killed while they were giving food to people who needed it.
This happened in a city called Bara.
Three other helpers are also missing.
The volunteers were wearing their special vests to show they were helping.
It is not clear exactly how they were killed or who did it.
The fighting in Sudan has been going on for a long time between two main groups.
Some people say that one of the groups has caused many deaths of regular people, but that group says they did not do it and blame the other side.
This makes it hard to know exactly what happened.
Five volunteers from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) were killed in Sudan on October 27.
Three other IFRC volunteers are missing following the incident.
The volunteers were distributing food and wearing official vests at the time of their deaths.
The killings occurred in the city of Bara, North Kordofan, which was recently taken over by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Both sides in Sudan's civil war deny accusations of abuses and blame each other for civilian casualties.
