India Post and BSE Partner to Expand Mutual Fund Access in Rural India
India Post and BSE, a big stock exchange in Asia, have made a special agreement to help more people in rural areas invest in mutual funds.
India Post has lots of post offices, even in very remote places, so they will help BSE sell mutual fund products there.
This means people in these areas can now easily invest and save money.
The agreement will last for three years, and some postal workers will get special training to help customers.
This is a big step to make sure everyone in India can access financial services, no matter where they live.
India Post and BSE signed an MoU to expand mutual fund access in rural and underserved regions.
The partnership leverages India Post's extensive network of over 1.5 lakh post offices.
Selected postal employees will undergo NISM certification to become qualified mutual fund distributors.
The agreement is valid for three years, from December 12, 2025, to December 11, 2028.
The initiative aims to increase mutual fund penetration in Tier-2, Tier-3, and rural markets.
