Karnataka Guv inaugurates Engineering and Law schools
The Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, opened two new schools at St Aloysius University in Mangaluru.
One school teaches engineering, and the other teaches law.
The governor said that education helps people become good citizens and makes communities better.
He talked about how India has a long history of being a leader in knowledge and culture.
He also said that learning should make people humble and ethical.
The new schools will help students become innovative and solve problems, and they will also teach about justice and democracy.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot inaugurated the School of Engineering and the School of Law at St Aloysius (deemed-to-be-university) in Mangaluru, Karnataka.
He emphasized that education builds character, strengthens the mind, and promotes self-reliance, quoting Swami Vivekananda and the saying 'Vidya Dadati Vinayam' (knowledge brings humility).
Gehlot highlighted India's 'Vishwaguru' tradition, citing ancient universities like Nalanda, Takshashila, and Vikramashila as symbols of its global intellectual legacy.
He expressed confidence that the new schools would foster innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and support initiatives like 'Digital India', 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', green energy, and smart cities.
The School of Law was noted for its role in strengthening justice, constitutional values, and democracy by nurturing professionals committed to ethics and social justice.
