Six Youths Drown in Damodar River During Kartik Purnima Dip, Four Bodies Recovered
Six young friends went to the Damodar River to take a special bath for a holiday called Kartik Purnima.
Unfortunately, the river had a very strong current that day.
Two separate groups of friends went in, and sadly, a total of six of them were pulled away by the water.
Rescuers were able to save some people, but four friends' bodies have been found.
They are still looking for the two friends who are missing.
The people living nearby are upset and say that digging sand from the river might be making it more dangerous.
Six youths drowned in the Damodar River near Dhanbad while taking a holy dip on Kartik Purnima.
Four bodies have been recovered, and a search is ongoing for the two missing youths.
The victims were from two different groups, one from Bhimkanali and another from Bhuli A-Block.
