APMC Intensifies Anti-Encroachment Drive in Azadpur Market
The APMC in Azadpur, which is part of Asia's largest wholesale fruits and vegetables market, is doing a big cleanup.
They are removing illegal vendors and structures that block roads and cause traffic problems.
On May 30, they worked with the police to clear out unauthorised vendors from specific areas.
They also removed a big tin shed that was built on land meant for a park.
The goods they seized were given to orphanages to prevent waste.
They are also adding more security to stop new illegal vendors from setting up shop.
APMC Azadpur has intensified its anti-encroachment drive to remove illegal vendors and structures.
A major operation was conducted on May 30 at Sheds 7, 9, and 13 of the New Fruit Market and C-Block Chowk of the New Sabzi Mandi.
Unauthorised vendors fled, and goods were seized during the operation.
