R said early attempts — copying stock tips and options buying — made little money, and a ₹10 lakh loan from a friend to sell options failed, though he repaid it.
He credits systematic backtesting on StockMock, including time-based short straddles, for his success, reporting 86% return in 2020 and 83% in 2021, plus 17 consecutive Zerodha challenge wins.
R said successful trading requires discipline and boredom, with a CAGR close to 48% over seven years and a combined target of 50% CAGR from systematic trading and investing.
