Rupinder Brar Launches Eco-Themed Debut Novel in New Delhi
Rupinder Brar launched her first novel, Corals Bloom Again, in New Delhi.
The story includes a fictional island and explores people’s relationship with nature.
It was partly inspired by Brar’s time in Tanzania and her discovery of blast fishing.
Blast fishing can harm fish and coral reefs.
Speakers at the event discussed women’s experiences, indigenous rights, and caring for the environment.
They also talked about historic links between India and Africa.
Scientists explained how corals are living organisms that can lose their colour when damaged.
The book is published by Konark Publishers and can be bought on Amazon.
Rupinder Brar launched her debut novel, Corals Bloom Again, at the Prime Ministers’ Museum & Library in New Delhi on September 28.
The event included a panel discussion on women, the environment, and resilience.
Panelists discussed climate change, indigenous rights, India-Africa connections, conservation, and gender.
Brar said the novel was inspired partly by her years in Tanzania and reports of blast fishing.
Published by Konark Publishers, the novel is available to readers on Amazon.
