Palak Raisinghani's Journey to IISc Bangalore in Mathematics and Computing

Imagine a student named Palak who really, really loves math!

Numbers and solving puzzles are her favorite things.

She did very well in school and studied hard to take a big test called JEE to get into a good college.

Even though she got into other good schools, she chose a special program at IISc in Bangalore that mixes math and computer science.

She arrived at IISc during the rainy season and initially missed home.

But with new friends and exciting classes, she started to feel at home.

Now in her second year, she enjoys her studies, plays basketball, and is part of computer science clubs.

Palak learned that it's important to do your best but not to worry too much about being the absolute best, and to be happy with yourself.

She enjoys the beautiful campus and learning from smart professors, and plans to work after graduating, possibly continuing her research interests.
