UP to Erect Boundary Pillars to Mark Haryana Border
Imagine a line between two states, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, like a fence in your backyard.
Sometimes, the river that marks the border moves, and people argue about who owns the land.
To fix this, UP is putting up 501 special markers, like big, permanent posts, along the border.
These markers will clearly show where each state's land starts and ends, making sure everyone knows exactly what land belongs to them.
This helps stop any confusion or fights about who owns what.
Uttar Pradesh (UP) is installing 501 boundary pillars along its 65km border with Haryana.
The demarcation project follows a survey in 32 villages and spans across 132 villages in five UP districts.
The Yamuna river forms a natural border in some areas, leading to land ownership disputes due to its changing course.
Fixed boundary markers aim to resolve ownership claims and clarify land records.
The project involves five UP districts and six districts in Haryana.
