Yellow.ai Lays Off 100+ Employees Amid Automation Push
Yellow.ai, a company that helps businesses with chatbots and AI, recently let go of more than 100 employees.
This is about 30% of their workforce.
They also stopped giving raises and promotions for the past two years.
The company said they had to do this because they are moving to a new kind of AI that needs different skills.
They have been doing well in places like North America, but their revenue in India went down a little.
They also had some issues with money rules but said they are fixing them.
This isn't the first time they've laid off people this year; they did it in August too.
Other companies in the same business, like Gupshup, have also laid off people recently.
Yellow.ai laid off over 100 employees, about 30% of its workforce, in multiple phases.
The layoffs primarily affected engineering and product teams.
This is the second round of layoffs in 2025, following a previous reduction of 40-50 employees in August.
The company attributed the layoffs to a shift towards agentic AI technologies and automation.
Yellow.ai reported a 40% global growth in FY25, with North American market expanding nearly 90%.
