Shivakumar formalises Bengaluru police split in Independence Day speech

Karnataka has a new leader named D K Shivakumar.

He gave a big speech on India's Independence Day about making Bengaluru better.

He said the city's police force will be split into five smaller teams.

These teams will look after the north, south, east, west and central parts of the city.

This will need about 6,633 new police jobs and cost around 765 crore rupees.

He thinks this will make the city safer and help the police work better with the city government.

He also said schools will start teaching students about artificial intelligence from Class 6.

He wants to build India's first government-owned AI university in Bengaluru.

He promised help for farmers who rent machines and more chances for rural students to become doctors and engineers.

He hopes these plans will make Karnataka stronger and richer in the future.
