Chinese Business Visas Under Scrutiny as Indian Travellers Report Rejections

Chinese Business Visas Under Scrutiny as Indian Travellers Report Rejections

Some business people from India want to visit China to find new materials, meet buyers, and learn how Chinese factories work.

Lately, it has become harder for them to get the special permission needed to travel, called a visa.

Reports say that about three or four out of every ten visa requests are being turned down.

This is a problem because many companies, especially those making electronics and cars, depend on Chinese factories and suppliers.

If business people cannot visit China, their companies may struggle to find parts and make their products.

Some people are turned down because they did not fill out all the extra paperwork correctly.

Other times, travellers say they do not know why their visa was rejected.

Economists worry this could slow down trade between India and China and harm businesses that rely on these connections.
