US Exhausts FY2025 EB-2 Visa Quota for Advanced Professionals
Imagine the US has a limited number of work visas for really smart people with advanced degrees or special skills.
These visas are called EB-2 visas.
For the year 2025, the US has given out all the EB-2 visas they're allowed to.
This means no new EB-2 visas will be issued until the new fiscal year starts on October 1, 2025.
People who want these visas must have either an advanced degree with experience or demonstrate exceptional abilities.
If you are married to someone with an EB-2 visa, or are their unmarried child under 21, you may also be able to get a visa.
The US has reached the maximum number of EB-2 visas for FY2025.
The EB-2 category is for individuals with advanced degrees or exceptional abilities.
Annual limits for EB-2 visas are set by the Immigration and Nationality Act.
Embassies and consulates will not issue these visas until October 1, 2025.
EB-2 visa holders' families may also seek admission.
