Security Forces Arrest PLA 'Major' and Seize Arms in Manipur
In Manipur, the police and army worked together to catch four bad guys who were part of two different groups trying to cause trouble.
One of them was a big leader of a group called the People’s Liberation Army.
They found a lot of guns and other weapons hidden by these groups.
The police are now watching out for more bad guys and helping people move safely around the area.
Security forces arrested four hardcore militants, including a self-styled 'Major' of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
A huge cache of arms and ammunition, comprising 12 sophisticated weapons, was seized.
The 'Major', Koijam Ibochouba, was wanted in connection with a 2017 ambush on Assam Rifles.
Three more militants belonging to UNLF and PREPAK were arrested for extortion activities.
Security forces continue crackdowns, setting up checkpoints, and providing escorts to vehicles.
