Yemen Separatists Visit Saudi Arabia
A group of people from Yemen, led by Aidarous al-Zubaidi, are going to Saudi Arabia to talk about peace.
This group, called the Southern Transitional Council, recently took control of some areas in Yemen, including the city of Aden.
The internationally recognized government of Yemen, which is supported by Saudi Arabia, wants to have a meeting to solve this problem.
The STC has agreed to talk, which is a good sign.
Recently, there was an incident where drones were seen above the presidential palace in Aden, but the city is now calm.
The conflict has also caused a big argument between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, who used to be close friends.
The government, with help from Saudi airstrikes, has taken back some important areas.
Everyone seems to want to talk instead of fight now.
A delegation led by Aidarous al-Zubaidi of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) will travel to Saudi Arabia for potential peace talks.
The STC, backed by the UAE, seized significant territory in southern and eastern Yemen, including Aden, last month.
The internationally recognized Yemeni government, backed by Saudi Arabia, requested Saudi Arabia to host a forum to resolve the conflict.
Government forces, supported by Saudi airstrikes, have retaken the strategically important Hadramout and Mahra provinces.
