Heavy Rains Push Bhopal’s Upper Lake To Full Level

Heavy rain filled Bhopal’s Upper Lake to its highest planned level.

Because the lake was full, officials opened one gate at Bhadbhada Dam.

The gate was opened around 6 p.m.

on Krishna Janmashtami.

About 20 millimetres of rain fell in Bhopal by evening.

A low-pressure weather system is bringing rain clouds over Madhya Pradesh and nearby areas.

Some places in the state received much more rain than Bhopal.

Forecasters said more heavy rain, lightning and strong winds could occur.

People in several districts were advised to be careful because of the weather warning.
