Ex-J&K Chief on Masood Azhar's Leaked Audio
A former police chief in Jammu and Kashmir, SP Vaid, talked about a leaked audio clip where Masood Azhar, a terrorist leader, is heard crying about his time in an Indian jail.
Vaid said this shows that Indian prisons are tough for terrorists.
Azhar was in jail in the 1990s and tried to escape but failed.
Vaid also mentioned that Azhar's group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, has been involved in many terrorist attacks in India.
The audio was confirmed to be real by intelligence sources.
Vaid thinks Azhar might be trying to get sympathy from people in Pakistan, but it won't help him.
He also recalled how Azhar was released in exchange for hostages after a plane hijacking in 1999.
Leaked audio of Masood Azhar crying over his jail days in India was confirmed authentic by intelligence sources.
Former J&K Police Chief SP Vaid said the audio proves Indian prisons are tough for terrorists.
Azhar was incarcerated in Kot Bhalwal jail from 1994 to 1999 and made multiple failed escape attempts.
Vaid suggested Azhar's emotional display might be an attempt to gain sympathy in Pakistan.
Azhar was released in 1999 in exchange for hostages after the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814.
