Mali Adopts Law Protecting Stateless Persons, UNHCR Welcomes
Imagine people who don't officially belong to any country.
Mali has made a new law to help these people, called stateless persons.
This law explains what statelessness means and gives them the same rights as everyone else in Mali, like healthcare and education.
It also stops them from being punished for not having papers.
The UN is happy about this and will keep helping Mali make sure the law works, giving hope to vulnerable people.
Mali adopted a law to protect the rights of stateless persons.

Stateless persons will have equal rights to health, education, employment, housing and justice.
