Madhya Pradesh to Reintroduce Wild Water Buffaloes
Madhya Pradesh is planning to bring back wild water buffaloes, which have been gone for over a hundred years.
Experts have chosen Kanha Tiger Reserve as the best place for these buffaloes to live.
They will bring 50 buffaloes from Assam in small groups over three years.
The government is working to get permission for this project.
This is similar to how they brought back cheetahs to the state.
The goal is to help nature and protect these special animals.
Madhya Pradesh plans to reintroduce wild water buffaloes, extinct in the state for over a century.
Kanha Tiger Reserve selected as the suitable habitat for the reintroduction.
