Calcutta High Court Bans Publisher from Selling Narayan Debnath's Works
The Calcutta High Court has decided not to allow a publishing house called Dev Sahitya Kutir to sell or distribute the works of a famous author named Narayan Debnath.
The court agreed with an earlier decision that stopped the publisher from doing these things.
Two judges, Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya and Supratim Bhattacharya, made this decision.
The ban is in place until February 9.
This is because there is a disagreement about who has the right to sell these works.
The Calcutta High Court dismissed the plea of Dev Sahitya Kutir Publishing House.
The court upheld an injunction restraining the publisher from selling or distributing Narayan Debnath's works.
The injunction is effective until February 9.
Justices Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya and Supratim Bhattacharya heard the appeal.
The publisher is restrained from printing, selling, or distributing Debnath's works in any form.
